This past weekend my husband and I were in Port Hope.it is interesting how memories come up and we haven't thought about in a while.
I remember in Sunday school when I was a little girl about a plastic pink cake decorated like a real cake. I even remember there were candles that they would light and everyone would sing Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you May God richly bless you Happy Birthday to you.
When I was older Sunday school was held in the Church sanctuary and they used a church where you put money in the slot behind the steeple on the box church.
l We put in pennies for How many years old we were old . I remember how some of the older ladies would try to hide the fact of How Old they were. I remember wanting to see How pennies or nickles they would use to conceal How old they actually were.
I remember receiving a book mark for putting in my Birthday money.
This was a memory that came up while I was visiting my home town and it was a great memory.
